The Hampshire table is a vintage pedestal table featuring a 60" round tooled veneer top. The
tooling gives this table top the look of Old World
workmanship of combining wood pieces thicker than
today's veneers to create patterned tops. The seam
lines would not fit flush together, so reveal lines were
tooled as grooves between the joints. Veneers of mappa
burl, walnut burl, oak and hickory give this table top a
beautiful, Old World look that can become a family
heirloom. The turned pedestal base is supported by
four shaped legs parts with fluted carvings that flow out the legs into leaf carvings found on each toe. A waxed lacquer adds a rich luster to the Vintage Chestnut finish.
